|—||Strokes for Cello (2016)
The sound of a string instrument is like the fibers of the nervous system running through the human body. Or perhaps sound is better understood as imaginary lines that criss-cross through space. As the electricity of a bristling cat. Or as the movements of a circus artist on a tightrope
This performance searches for a dialogue that brings into a singular conversation the sound of a string instrument, the human body and both the act and the outcome of drawing. Think of these elements as generators of different threads which, when woven together, create a net within a given space, thereby assembling a work which is striking in its multisensoriality.
